Old and Older . . .

I scored two old pix recently.  I had to play with them to crop a couple of youngsters.

When I saw the first photo (of my mother), it reminded me of the second photo (of me), though probably more for the hair than anything else.  Mom had more texture to her hair than I did.  Not sure what was with the dresses because we were both tomboys.

When GN saws both of the photos, she said, “Yup!  You both were stoic even as little girls.  It just shows!”

I don’t know, I think I was just doing my best to just stand up.  And I don’t think my mother looks stoic at all.  I think she looks impish.  She was the youngest tot in a photo of about fifteen children (not all siblings, but a mix of sibs and cousins.)

Well, you were both cute. That’s for sure.

  2. Lovely photos – am wondering whether you could make a quartet of photos with Angel and GN?

I suspect that the stoic comment comes from the fact that neither of you is smiling in the pictures.
