It’s a good day if the grammy giggles

I took Goodnight to a corn maze today.  I’ve never been to one and I wasn’t sure GN wanted to do it, but we were out and about and I spotted a sign that said we were five miles away, so we checked it out.  When we drove up the driveway of the farmyard, GN decided she wanted to do it.

The farmer met us and handed Gn a sheet of paper.  There were pictures on the paper and they corresponded with ink stamps hidden in boxes within the maze.  Our goal was to find all the boxes, stamp the ink stamp in the proper place on the paper, then find our way out.

Good thing is was a dry, sunny day.  I can’t imagine what our shoes would have looked like if it had been wetter.  I giggled through the whole thing – every time the corn corridor turned a corn corner or gave us two choices.  It was fun!

We did a corn maze once. It was hard to find our way through! We didn’t have stamping stations along the route. Maybe that would have helped???

Carol: I don’t know. This is the only time I’ve done a maze. What helped me was that the maze was below a hill and the farm house was on the hill. If I got disoriented, I would pok my head up to see the house. It was fun to be out on a beautiful autumn day.

  2. I’ve been in the Maze at Longleat some years ago – there was a lookout you could climb up to see where you were. There’s also a little maze in the country park locally.

I’ve just cleaned off a pair of shoes caked in mud from my allotment trip the other day – for a moment I thought you’d been able to photograph them!

I’ve actually never done any kind of physical maze like that.
