Nope! I’m not shopping for myself. That would be easy . . .
Purple this and purple that, purple socks and purple hat.
But I am shopping with Goodnight. High school approacheth and we need all the usual supplies (except for the expen$ive calculator this time). The supplies are the easy part . . . it’s the clothing hunt that will make me feel very old.
I have to remind myself that I am two generations away from her, so confine myself to setting parameters ahead of time, pushing the cart, offering a polite ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when needed, and paying for everything, of course. So far, so good. She’s just grateful to get out of a uniform and she asked me to knit her something!!!!
Sounds like you have the right attitude. Good luck!
How quickly this time of the year comes round. I am hoping that GN is now fully recovered. Oh and did SHE have anything purple?
I always loved shopping for new school clothes when I was in school. It was actually kind of fun as a parent of school-aged people, too, now that I think about it. Sounds like this is an especially fun shopping year for GN, since it’s her first year out of a uniform. I’m wondering what she wants you to knit for her???
