Guest Post

Hello again.

It’s me again, Miss Phitt, the sock monkey in residence at the Goodnight/Gram household.  They just call me ‘Phitty’ here.  Gram asked me to write another guest post, so I’ll see what I can do.

Goodnight has completed her antibiotics and did not have any choking coughs yesterday.  Gram is midway through her meds, but no choking whoops.  Gramw as told to expect another call from the Department of Public Health today.

I sure hope things get a little livelier around here . . . I mean . . . I like reading and all, but the Gram promised me a VAY-CAY yet this summer.  I hope she can still phitt it into her schedule.

Nice hat, Phitty! You look quite comfy sitting there with your book. I like the afghan at your shoulder. Glad to hear that Goodnight and Gram are well on their way to healthy again. Keep pushing for that vacation. Sounds like all of you will need a break!

Lisa: I’m reading a novel called The Knitting Circle, by Ann Hood. Glad you noticed my hat. Gram felted it and I borrowed it for my photo today. And thanks for noticing the afghan. I have my fingers crossed for the vay-cay.

  2. Glad to hear of the health improvements … before long you’ll be able to call GN Miss Fitty.

Phitty, Pls tell Gram and Goodnight that I am thinking of them and hoping they feel better soon. Pertussis does NOT sound like fun. Also, I am not sure if I spelled it correctly. On another note, I accidentally lost Gram’s blog on my bloglist, but I will get it restored soon. I haven’t been here for a while, because I didn’t have the ease of one quick click to get here.

I’m glad to read that GN had no coughing attacks, at least for a day. I hope that trend continues. Also happy to read that Gram is not whooping it up – at least in the coughing sense, and probably not in any other sense at this time. Sending good wishes for this to pass soon so that all members of the GG household, including sock monkeys, can have a nice vay-cay before the summer is over.

Carol: Thank you for your good wishes. You were right – no coughing attacks for a day. She’s had several more, though and four yesterday. It’s frightening for her. My job is to try to get her to relax. She is no longer under quarantine, but she needs to get her strength back. Poor li’l lass!

I can only imagine how scary the coughing fits must be. I’m glad that GN is out from under quarantine. Under Gram’s care, GN will come back and get herself on the basketball court – or dancing under an umbrella – soon. I’m just sorry that so much of her summer has been spent not feeling well…

Carol: SPeaking of basketball . . . she talked about it this morning, but hasn’t had the energy to even dribble. Thankfully, there is still some of her summer left.
