I probably shouldn’t brag about cheating on May Day. I should have planned ahead, ordered ACTUAL flowers for my sister and mother and had them delivered, but . . . I didn’t.
I went to the grocery store (a nice one), found the floral department, whipped out my cell phone, took pictures of some pretty, potted flowers, and sent the photos in text message attachments to my female relatives. Point, shoot, save, attach, text, send!
That saved enough time for me to hit my favorite thrift shop (Two blocks from the nice grocery store with the floral department) for my own personal May Day scavenger hunt for flowers. 
I predict that one day in the distant future there will be a techno way of sending the smells along with the pictures.

May Day is for flowers? I thought it was for military parades and political speeches.
Janey: May Day has been a time for welcoming Spring in the Northern Hemisphere – but I know what you are referring to also. I have walked in the Mothers’ Day Walk/March for Peace. I led one once . . . holding a bull horn. I have an old newspaper photo to show for it.
