Whaddaweek!

TGIF (Thank goodness it’s Friday.)

IFLFOT  (It felt like Friday on Tuesday.)  Pronounced ’iffelfot’ for those who like to use acronyms as words.

IGFLFOM  (It’s Gonna feel like Friday on Monday.)  Pronounced ‘igfelfahm’ for the same reasons as above.

I’m exhausted and therefore have gone 5F for today: Friday Flannel Foreign Film Festival.

That’s right!  Jammies and flicks for the gram – in honor of the upcoming Academy Awards.

On tap for me today are two movies: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and El Baño del Papa.  Both are films from 2007.  The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was nominated for four Academy Awards in 2008: writing, editing, cinematography, and directing.  The Pope’s Toilet was not accepted as a nominee in the foreign film category.

If I feel less exhausted after my 5F day, I may add two more F’s this evening: Fish Fry!

A word about the edgy attorney costume . . .

I should mention that there is a top to GN’s costume.  I just didn’t have to sew it.

Originally, when I made the skirt shown in my previous post, GN was going to wear her pink argyle sweater.  It looked cute and she liked the combo: edgy on the bottom and conservative on top. 

However . . . the costume department at her school (the drama club teachers) found something they had in storage for her to wear instead.  GN brought it home so I could iron it.  Nice of her, eh?    

Someone took one of GN’s pink heels for her costume and she wasn’t able to find it for a few days.  She has a suspect in mind.  She’s taking her role as an attorney very seriously, I suppose.  The missing shoe showed up mysteriously yesterday in a location other than where it’s partner was being kept.  When GN told me about the events, I reminded her that it’s the D-R-A-M-A  Club and she’s getting my money’s worth out of it.  At least there won’t be any last-minute phone calls from school because the Drama Club teachers don’t like her costume – like what happened last year in the case of the Evil Queen’s white dress.

So here’s a pic of the blouse that goes with the Bo Peep attorney skirt.  I guess THAT’s the frilly part.
