Today I am working on PR. Nope! I’m not in public relations for my job. Besides, I’m still on my Retirement Internship. (It’s my last day of that, BTW.)
PR is short for Project Rescue – someone else’s project, my rescue. It’s a yarn-related rescue and I found it at a thrift shop for an unbelievably low deal. I snatched it up and decided to finish what someone else began.
In the package were 39 crocheted squares.
The squares are very neatly constructed: marked on the front and marked for orientation. I am going to sort through all of them and see what I can make of them.
Way cheaper fun than even the matinée at the bargain theatre – and the fun lasts longer, too!
I’m hoping the yarn ends that are seen hanging from each square have left enough for me to use for piecing them together – but if not, then not an insurmountable obstacle.
I was supposed to be attending a Driver’s Safety Course (for my auto insurance discount), but someone on the phone registered me for a class on a day when there was no class held. I could have been crabby about their screw-up, but heck no! I turned on my heels and headed straight home to enjoy my last day of my Retirement Internship! Not so sad about the mistake.
When I got home, I turned on some music, put a kettle on for tea, and kicked off my shoes so I could do the bare-footed tiptoe on my carpet as I got to work on my PR.
I’ll let you know what becomes of the squares.
(The pixie in me thinks I should make a costume to donate to the Drama Club at Goodnight’s school . . . but you’d have to read back a few posts ago to figure out that I’m being a wee bit sarcastic.)
