The guests have arrived!!! There’s cake!!! There’s music!!! There are balloons!!!! There is a drawing for ten scholarships worth $1000 each!!! There’s traffic all over the place!!! And the double food line in the photo below went around two sides of the building and has been that way for two hours!
It’s not a bad drive to work – if a person has to go to work. I like to take the scenic route when I get the chance, especially this time of year because the glimmer of dawn reflects on the water and provides an “Ahhhhh” moment most of the time.
I live on the sunrise side of the lake, about a mile away. There isn’t a great spot for viewing sunsets from that side of the lake because it is residential. The sunset side of the lake has a playground and picnic area, so it’s perfect for pulling over and enjoying a quiet morning scene.
This morning I noticed that there was an unusual amount of - PURPLE!
