So . . . what does Goodnight do on her first lazy morning of summer vacation?
She gets up even EARLIER than she does on a school day – just like her Gram. We’re morning girls, that’s for sure!
It’s Field Trip Friday!
I had an outdoor activity planned, but it’s raining, so we are going shopping for something to wear to the Wizard of Oz Ball.
Not having a Wizard around, there may have to be some sewing involved.
Mornings are the best! Why waste sunlight during precious summer days???

I find that I wake up about the same time on weekends as I do on weekdays. Sometimes I get up, but most of the time I remember pretty quickly that I don’t have to if I don’t want to.
I have been looking all my adult life for a person who could get up early without grumbling. I can get up running very early and love the mornings.
The down side is I can fade about 2:00 PM and can fall asleep in a chair, or almost anywhere. A short nap and I am off and running again.
I NEVER grumble in the morning . . . though I’ve been known to sing!
